WeLoveCorvallis started as casual discussions about the Corvallis community between Matt Andresen, Chris Nordyke, Loyan Roylance and others. As our conversations progressed we found ourselves frustrated by the lack of adequately candid conversations which we could join. Additionally we found ourselves wishing others could join our conversations. This project is not about ourselves, any individuals or any particular group. This project is about all of us who have a stake in Corvallis. To be honest, we are still feeling our way around this concept and expect it to change over time. But we are mutually committed to some fundamental ideas which will serve as our guide for this thing we are calling WeLoveCorvallis. It is our earnest hope that you will share in this effort with us. We are look forward to having valuable conversations with you.

We believe:

• There are important conversations that Corvallis must have publicly.
• Important leaders and stakeholders are absent from the critical conversations shaping Corvallis.
• All of us are very concerned about the future of Corvallis, this city we love.
• Interconnectedness, authenticity, and candor will result in better decisions and outcomes for Corvallis.
• The web can provide us with an alternative and accessible forum where every individual has the opportunity to be heard.

Our goals:

• Provide a publicly accessible place for Corvallis stakeholders to learn, share and communicate.
• Give every Corvallis stakeholder an opportunity to observe and participate.
• Promote accountability and transparency.
