Free Help with Yelp for Corvallis Businesses
What: Hands on assistance for businesses interested in the online business review site called www.Yelp.com.
Where: Intersector Workspace (129 NW 4th St. Suite B, Corvallis, OR 97330)
When: Friday, May 7th, 4:00 – 6:00 PM
Why: To add (or maybe even begin) to the online presence of your business and possibly engage with customers providing feedback about your business.
Last month, our little tribe of Corvallis-ites and Benton County-ites yelped about 130 different businesses in Corvallis. People will be finding and reading those reviews for years to come. Many of those reviews will drive new customers through the doors of these local businesses, customers that otherwise may never have known to check them out.
For example: Google “best burrito in Corvallis”. As of this May 3 the top result is from Yelp.
Maybe you’re one of those business owner’s whose business got reviewed. You got a warm feeling in your stomach after reading that first review of your business online… or maybe you received some feedback on a customer experience you’re not too proud of. No matter the initial gut feelings, you recognize and appreciate the value of conversations with your customers. You relish the opportunity to thank a customer for recommending your business, and also the chance to fix a mistake and make it right.
This Friday from 4-6 PM, we’re issuing an open invite to all local Corvallis businesses: Come to the Intersector Workspace across from the Corvallis courthouse and receive personal help getting set up on www.Yelp.com courtesy of the Corvallis Social Media Brigade(#CorvSMB). We’ll show you the ropes, help you get your business profile updated and give you the skinny on how you can respond to reviews, and make the most of your customer feedback.
There are NO strings attached! This is NOT a sales pitch for anyone. This is just an offer to help from some of your Corvallis neighbors. Questions? Feedback? Please share them in the comments below.
