How can we help them?

    Local Blogger thoughts:

    Bill Zipp – http://www.summitsmallbusiness.com/

    the Crallspace – http://dancrall.blogspot.com/

    onFocus – http://www.onfocus.com/

I’ll have to look for good articles when I get time…

Nice list Jason. I’d like for us to try our best to promote bloggers from outside of the active #CorvSMB group. I think it would be good for us to do some outreach.

How many blog posts should we highlight each week? I’d like to try 2 a week. What do you guys think?

  3. Kate says:

I keep thinking about this one — what are you guys planning? Comments are wonderful to receive, but after an initial ‘blitz’ (if you will), the onus really is on the blogger to keep the readers coming back.

I’ve been thinking about what I can do & I’ve started to rebuild a list of links — something I abandoned a long time ago. I’d also certainly be willing to use my blog platform to highlight other blogs with posts. Any other ideas on what we can do?

  4. Loyan says:

Thanks for the input Kate. The assumption is that comments are a simple way to reward local bloggers for their contributions that anyone with web access can do.

I think the objectives are simple but valuable. Show folks how they can discover local bloggers, expose those bloggers to some new audiences and show how to show some love to blog posts they value.

Sorry, I’m still not clear… so it’s a comment blitz, then? Or more? Or do you not know yet?

I’ll just keep checking back to see what the action’s going to be. I don’t imagine I’ll do much different than I already do, except I’ll focus on bloggers and not so much buying local. Maybe I’ll use my other blog for this.

Nothing is in stone yet Kate. Any ideas for ways we can help local bloggers beyond comments? Multiple ways of giving our local bloggers some love would be great.

So, I’m a local blogger! My ‘toons appear in The Alchemist, a fine local rather extremely alternative paper.
…I’ve read (and read about) the welovecorvallis site & people, and don’t quite get it (yet?). Perhaps the site could lead to the one grand all-things-Corvallis site? Whatever – best luck, see you at the farmer’s mkt!
