I am interested in your movement and will began to follow it. I think you should try to lose the "flash mob" name. Some see it as a negative. Flash mobs do good, bad, and funny things. The article does help in getting your group noticed, that is what brought me here. I guess I am trying to grasp what the group really is about. Promoting local services? Corvallis? or Public meeting places? Also this did seem to go smoothly for all parties involved, but what if? Maybe you should give the company heads up and not test there ability to handle an unexpected crowds. It could give them a black eye for something they had no control over.

Corvallis does need a Social Media Brigade. I am having trouble finding local media about our great town. I follow a lot of pdx media about food and entertainment, but I am having trouble doing the same for my town.

Only speaking for myself, I would not seek to attend something called a flash mob. The connotation there, for me, is one of attention-getting performance & that's just not my thing. That's not to say that this isn't a fun and worthwhile activity, though.

Thought: why not just call it a carrotmob, if that's what it is?

I agree with cvoTodd, it might be a good thing in the future to give the business a heads-up.

I don't agree with the sheep/herd comments made on the GT site & elsewhere.
